Sample Itinerary

The start of our African adventure will be in Cape Town. For five days we will explore the natural beauty of the city of Cape Town. We will see all of its splendid scenery for which the Cape has become so famous. This will include a trip up Table Mountain by means of the cable car (weather permitting), as well as a visit to Chapman’s Peak with its famous view of the Sentinel –Hout Bay, Cape Point bordering the Cape of Good Hope (once known better as the Cape of Storms) and leisurely walks on the seaside promenades, where you will be refreshed by the sea breeze and occasional light sprays of sea water. Take a trip to Robben Island On one of the days we will savour a wine tasting experience at a some of the many wine farms, set in tranquil vineyards with majestic mountains making up the back-ground. The end of each day will be spent dining in peace in one of Cape Town’s pleasant restaurants.

Our journey will then continue along the luxurious in the carpet of greenery, that is the Garden Route. We will stop off at the world famous Cango Caves and experience the drama of its vast caverns, which are softened by the intricate delicacy of the many beautiful stalactites and stalagmites that fill their interiors. Other experiences and destinations to explore will include the viewing of the vast Valley of Desolation set in the arid Karoo area, a visit to the serene lakes district, Nature’s Valley, an island walk, a cruise up an African river, where high cliffs eerily echo the sounds of Africa’s calls, as well as a stop to see the if any dare wheli we are thre, to take the worlds highest bungee jump.

After ending the tour of the Garden Route, we will fly to Johannesburg. A day will be spent touring South Africa’s Capital , Pretoria. From Johannesburg we will coach to the world-renowned Kruger National Park, making stops at the ever-panoramic Blyde River canyon, as well as the intriguing Bourkes Luck potholes. We will also see the sensational view from God’s Window and enjoy the tranquillity of one of the waterfalls in the area.

Once in the Kruger Park, we will have two nights accommodation and therefore also two days in which to spot the Big Five, Africa’s finest, as well as a large variety of other game. We will feel the sheer peace of the bush wash over us, as by contrast adrenalin starts pouring at the anticipation of possibly seeing lions…

Add on options: An add-on to the tour can be organised if requested, of trips to other sensational destinations like the exquisite Victoria Falls, which is truly one of the seven wonders of the world or the awesome Drakensburg Mountain Range.
